The Night That Sparked It All
Our story begins with Tema and his adorable toy poodle, Pera.
One fateful night, Pera managed to get her paws on something she shouldn’t have eaten. Concerned for her well-being, Tema realized he needed immediate guidance to ensure Pera’s safety. Drawing on the bond of an old friendship, Tema reached out to Oguzhan, a trusted friend and a skilled veterinarian.
From that night forward, the duo found themselves in constant communication. Tema relied on Oguzhan’s expertise, seeking guidance and reassurance about what foods were safe for Pera and what to avoid. It quickly became clear that the need for reliable and easily accessible information on dog nutrition was not unique to Tema and Pera alone.
A Shared Vision for a Trusted Platform
As their conversations continued and the scope of their discussions expanded, Tema began to envision a platform where dog owners like himself could find comprehensive information on various aspects of canine care. He realized that countless dog owners faced the same challenges and desired accurate guidance to provide the best possible care for their furry friends.
Driven by a deep passion for dogs and armed with the desire to make sure his precious Pera can be healthy at all times, Tema approached Oguzhan with the idea of creating Way Canina.
Together, they set out to build a platform that would be a trusted resource for dog lovers worldwide.
The Birth of Way Canina
Tema, with his entrepreneurial and opportunist spirit, along with his skills as a freelance translator and day trader, complemented Oguzhan’s expertise as a veterinarian and a musician. Their shared high school background, where they formed a music band named The Turkish Delights back in 2012, only strengthened their bond and collaboration.
Tema’s persistent inquiries about dog nutrition and Oguzhan’s dedication to animal welfare fueled their drive to create Way Canina. They embarked on an exciting journey, curating information on dog breeds, safe and harmful foods, toxic and dog-friendly houseplants, puppy diets and recipes, as well as common allergies and diseases affecting dogs.
